From what I can remember the toolbar button "Adjust > Brightness/Contrast/Gamma/Balance" was part of the standard toolbar. In XnView 1.90 it's no longer there.
I think this button was very helpful and useful and ask for adding it to the standard toolbar, again.
If horizontal space is an issue the toolbar buttons "Options" and "Info" could be removed from the toolbar. (I even think that these two buttons should be removed, anyway).

Adjust button still missing in 1.90.3
So far as I can see the 'Adjust' button is still missing in 1.90.3
Is there a way to add it to the toolbar manually?
I have explored the toolbar options but can't find a way to add the original dropdown button that adds the 4 (?) simple adjustments (HSV, RGB, Auto levels and Auto contrast)
I hope there is an easy fix for this as I used the button as a quick fix for many photos.
Thanks, Ampa

Yes, in option/Toolbar you can add buttonAmpa wrote:So far as I can see the 'Adjust' button is still missing in 1.90.3

Adding a button isn't simple!
I go to Tools > Options > Toolbar
Append a new button
Set command to Auto Levels
Set icon to 22 (the bitmap position within main32.bmp file)
This adds the button to my toolbar complete with a small drop down arrow.
BUT the drop down doesn't produce the menu as it should (HSL, Auto Contrast, Auto Levels etc)
Instead it shows the file view options (Details, Thumbnails, Icons, List etc)
This obviously makes no sense!
---
Also: if I then go back to the toolbar options for my new button, there is no entry in the Icon text box (22 has disappeared) and no preview of the graphic appears in the bottom options box.
What am I doing wrong? I would just like the button back the way it was in my previous version (1.80) with all the level type operations on the one button.
Thanks for your help, Ampa

From what I can see these are all bugs.Ampa wrote:Also: if I then go back to the toolbar options for my new button, there is no entry in the Icon text box (22 has disappeared) and no preview of the graphic appears in the bottom options box.

Due to the above bugs I can see no way to have the Adjust dialog as in XnView 1.90.3.

I can't reproduce that, if i add Auto levels, there is no drop down arrow!Ampa wrote: I go to Tools > Options > Toolbar

And it's cmd_Balance to use...

Pierre.
Adding cmd_Balance works!
Followed your advice and added cmd_Balance... and the correct button does arrear, with a drop down displaying the 4 correct suboptions.
I notice that none of the buttons in my copy of XnView show a preview of their icon in the lower half of the Options > Toolbar display, so perhaps that isn't a bug?
Thanks for the help - glad to have the button back

Hello!
• You get a preview for additional commands for which you set an icon from an external source.
• Please, have a glance HERE
- This should be added in the official Help folder soon too…
Kind regards,

• No, this is not a bug : All icons coming from the bitmap of a skin don't display a preview, because they are not icons really……I notice that none of the buttons in my copy of XnView show a preview of their icon in the lower half of the Options > Toolbar display, so perhaps that isn't a bug?
