Slide Show Windowing problem with 2-screen setup

Running a 2 screen setup with desktop spread over both screens. Slide shows seem not to be windowing properly.

Any image smaller than one screen fits into a window the size of the image, positioned top left. Any image wider than one screen is split across the two screens, positioned top left. Any image taller than the screen is centered in a window that spans the whole of both screens and is therefore split across the two screens.

Normally a maximised window displays only in one screen. Would be best if could present in a fixed window size.
