I just downloaded the new version of XnView 2.xx
I cannot get it to display iptc or exif data on jpg, camera raw, or psd files. All the fields are blank, even though the thumbnails display tags suggesting that info is there. I know it's there - I can readily view it in photoshop cs or microsoft photoinfo.
There is probably something simple I'm missing - seems to be the way with new programs! Nothing on this in Help that I could find.
Thank You!

v1.90.3
I just remembered to look at the "?" in XnView- the version is actually 1.90.3 and the editor fields are still emptymarsh wrote:If you are referring to a discontinued item mentioned here, please try v.1.90.3 (the latest supported version). It should display the extra information attached to images very well.

Is there a setting that controls this?

Could you send me a file to check?Anonymous wrote:I just remembered to look at the "?" in XnView- the version is actually 1.90.3 and the editor fields are still emptymarsh wrote:If you are referring to a discontinued item mentioned here, please try v.1.90.3 (the latest supported version). Things have changed
Hello, Pierre
I was going to send you a file this morning, and found that several files that were not displaying data in xnview before were now showing it.
There is something strange going on. there were still two jpg files that did not display data in xnview, but did in PSCS File Browser and MS PhotoInfo.
Then one of them started to display it in xnview. I started to prepare the other to send to you, but in using PSCS > Image Size to resample down, all the data was lost in the copy AND the "original." Now the three programs agree that there is nothing there.
I suspect some of the problem with viewing the data was that it was created with different programs, mainly PS and BreezeBrowserPro.
I thank you for offering, but I have nothing to send of any value in this regard. I am scratching my head!
Blessings,
Dane

EXIF medadata editor
Hallo all,
I have a similar problem with XnView 1.91, using Breeze PSremote. I can't see in the editor the UserComment. In the view of the minature pictures it is visible but not in the editor, where the field "UserComment" itself is not included. It would be great if we could edit other informations like copyright, photographer as well in the editor.
regards
Turmalin
