Hi,
I'm trying to convert my 1Ds Mark II raw images with nconvert. When I try to convert using "nconvert -out jpeg *.CR2" I just get the message "Error: TIFF: Bad data compression algorithm !". This is in nconvert version 4.22.
Am I missing some parts of the software, like a dll file or anything else?

Nconvert .CR2 gives "Bad data compression"

i've posted about this 'auto-correcting' of .cr2 files also.
have not gotten a solution. i had a series of shots which
progress from afternoon into evening, getting progressively
darker as the sun set. nconvert 'conveniently' corrected
each such that the final night image (intended to be very
dark) was just as bright as the first daytime image. the
noise level, however, is vastly increased. wish i could
make it stop this. since i never invoked such a command,
though, i suspect this behaviour to be a bug, and as such,
possibly linked.
there seem to be several issues surrounding canon raw
files. image dimensions are not handled properly either
resulting in cropping coordinates having to be divided
by 2 to get them to work. even then the overall image
size comes out wrong.
maybe all these issues are linked and a solution will
address them all? i hope so.
