Create web page : templates and sorting

Thanks for this great and powerful feature!

I'll have two questions about it :
1 Are the variables and structure to be used with templates documented elsewhere? I'd like to create my own templates...

1b May be there is some kind of wiki place where I could add the templates I'll make, if I finally manage to do it?

2 Is it a way to make a custom sort in images? (NB this relates to my OCD about "sort by exif date taken" )
