Preview Pane Location

I am a bit frustrated to have the preview panel placed under the detail file listing panel by default.
Which is always a very flat rectangle ( very wide, but height is small, not to occupy too much space) As most pictures are 4:3 or 16:9, so in the preview window, there is always a big areas wasted on both sides of picture.

My favorite location for the preview window is under the folder tree window, I can resize the preview window to around 4:3 (16:9) so no screen area is wasted.

For 99% of time, I hate dockable windows, but for this very first time, I really would love to see XNView let me drag the preview window to the place I like. And a quick trip to help, right click menus etc. I don't see any signs of options to let me change this. Do I miss something?

PS. the preview windows as shown in the help occupies the whole bottom area (including space under the folder tree).

• You can choose another layout among NINE in the browser from View Menu >> Layout.

- The best chosen layout -according to your criteriaæ - shall be saved for the next session like you have adjusted the panes…
