Hi all.
I just tested XnView and it is a very nice piece of software.javascript:emoticon(':D')
Very Happy
But I have a problem converting eps files.javascript:emoticon(':(')
Sad
When I chose multiple conversion ( Strg+U) I get the Dialog to choose the files. This works very fine with single eps files. But I can not add a folder ??
If I pick the button Add directory I can choose the folder containing the eps files, but if I click ok the space where the Input files normally show up stays blank. Only non Eps Files get listed ??
I do have a few eps files in subdirectories so it is difficult to select them manually.
What am I doing wrong ?
Stefan
Batch conversion of Eps Files, can´t open Folder ?
Moderators: helmut, XnTriq, xnview
Which version? Batch convert automatically adds images inside highlighted folders when using file list (details view or thumbnails).
If you are using the folder-tree, it will act differently. The option below will have an effect there:
General>{Misc}>Convert[Use all images in current folder]
The default setting is probably >Convert[none]

Hi marsh,
thank you for your very fast reply.
I checked yuor suggestions and the settings.
This is completly correct with folders including jpeg images.
Works perfekt. All files are listet in the input window. And are converted.
But oddly it does not work with my eps files. ????
I just get a blank input window aftes selecting the folders.
only if there is a different type of format in one of these folders only this single file is listed. But not one single eps.
Isnt that weired?
The eps format seems to be ok as single conversions works fine.
I have the newest ghostscript
and XnView 1.91.1
Perhaps someone could try this on an other configuration.
I have looked through all settings and don´t get it.
Best wishes

I see it now also. You're right, eps files won't show up in batch convert list when only a folder is selected. I recommend using Xnview's search function to look for these files (*.eps), then use batch convert on the results. That will be much easier than looking for single files.Anonymous wrote: But oddly it does not work with my eps files. ????
Hi marsh,
thank you so much for your help.
This a cool way to go around the problem.
I can convert my files this way.
But it looks like a bug in XnView. So maybe interesting for the developpers.
I have tested it now with other formats. Problems with folders appear with:
eps and wmf format.
It works with jpg, tiff and gif
Strange, but I am no software developper.
Funny nobody came accross this problem as I could not find anything in the forum.
So thanks again and I´ll be converting now
