Tabbed mode (viewer) & pasting images

Post by Drahken »

Open xnview in view mode & open an image. The image is maximized within the main window (ie, the image itself doesn't have a titlebar). Now close & reopen xnview into view mode & paste an image. The image isn't maximized within the window. If you paste more images, they will tile. If you double click the image's titlebar or hit the maximize button in it, they will maximize as they should be. Also, if you open an image first and THEN paste an image, the pasted image will be properly maximized. This bug has been present ever since the tabs were first introduced (I know I brought it up a number of versions ago) and still exists in the newest version. This is especially annoying when taking a screen of an application because you can't tell which titlebar you see is IN the screenshot and which is the image's. I don't know why pasted images don't auto-maximize while opened ones do.

How it should be: http://allspark.net/cypherswipe/maximized.png
How it is: http://allspark.net/cypherswipe/not-maximized.png
This one shows how chaotic it can get: http://allspark.net/cypherswipe/tiled.png

It can be even more annoying with smaller images, because it changes their position on the screen.
