Very strange, i can't reproduce. The minimal file size kept last value...Clo wrote:mikulandra-AT-gmail.com
Hello !
• YEP ! I reported the same issue in the French section, and I worked that night
with Paul-“Ouistiti” friend in order to track the cause¦s !
• It seems it's caused by the "File List" page in the Options >> Browser which turns cleared when updating to 1.91.6 !
- This starts to occur too here when the programme is set in a non-English language.
- Also : In the abovementioned option page, try to set 999999 in the two upper¦ right fields,
currently there is “0” that is abnormal.
- Set the programme in English (thus, it doesn't use any language DLL…)
- The thumb nails might appear again…
- Thatseems random according to the PCs and the OS, and so difficult to reproduce. Thanks for that feedback.
???? With your old .ini, xnview 1.91.6 reset many settings?Clo wrote:—> Pierre
Hello !
• Now, even my "General" option page turns empty, despite I ticked many boxes…
When I reopen it, all is unticked again, even restarting XnView.
- The INI is written though. There is a hitch with the language DLL.![]()
Moreover, I had to remake the settings of an old 1.80.3 I've too, all was lost when I started it…
- Something goes wrong in the order of reading about the INIs location, or something in the same painting, it seems.
Perhaps you could send me your .ini to check?Clo wrote:With any INI, even starting with no INI at all. This is a vicious circle, since the INI is created in <user>,
while I set <XnView> always…
- That's the only version that behaves like this.
- I can get it working, but the options status is not displayed,
although they are used when I place a complete INI in the programme dir.
- And I run XP-Pro SP1.

Hello !
• That occurs the same with the original French DLL from the ZIP package.
- I add that it happened the first time with that original DLL.
- Moreover, my corrected DLL is made from the newest 1.91.6 one.
- Nothing changed in the Menus (because the dynamic items)…

Your dll is very strange! Do you have problem with original dll??Clo wrote: • I continued the tests, and I got the empty “File list” page even with the programme set in German !
- I would bet that the German DLL is quite original…
- Then playing with the settings, I could get the French again,
but prior a part of the strings remained in German, like shown below :
I use sub-versions because there is no new features, and the 2.0 is not for soon...- I hope that Pierre'll discover the naughty wrong small piece of code.
(Aside : Pierre, pleeeease, let skip the infinite sub-versions numbering to get the 2.0 sooner…)
• I can get that in two ways :Your dll is very strange! Do you have problem with original dll??
- Too bad… I'll have to find another solution……I use sub-versions because there is no new features, and the 2.0 is not for soon...
Very strange, i can't reproduce itClo wrote:• I can get that in two ways :Your dll is very strange! Do you have problem with original dll??
1. About the bug, yes, it began with your original DLL, not any change in it.
Please notice that the thread starter here has the bug too, and I don't guess he uses my DLL…
- I get the bug even with the German language, like said above.
2. Yes, I've another kind of problem : I risk a lethal heart crisis when using it…![]()
Currently i have not the time to work on the 2.0 version...- Too bad… I'll have to find another solution……I use sub-versions because there is no new features, and the 2.0 is not for soon...![]()
• Yes, I did. Paul and I checked our CRCs (MD5) for the original DLL and the EXE, they match.…Do you have tried to download it again?
• Unfortunately, not currently, my two other machines are broken……Could you try on another PC?
• “A started task is half done…”. I've some ideas to advance at this……Currently i have not the time to work on the 2.0 version...
