Improved Search for ISO, Exif Date, Camera Model etc.

Post by Fraenzken »

It is possible to search vor various IPTC and Exif information with XnView, nevertheless it takes some time and is not very comfortable. Would it be possible to add the IPTC and Exif information of all pictures browsed so far in the database and make them searchable via a new tree in the category window?

E.g. you could find the mother node "Camera Model" there with the branches "Olympus E510", "Canon EOS 10D" or whatever. Or a node "ISO" with the branches "100", "200", "400", "800"... etc., I think you get the point. Which nodes of the tree should be seen could either be configured by the user, or this feature could be restricted to the "most important" information (though you could certainly argue about which information should be searchable and which not...).

Cheers
