EXIF user comment only shows first character of comment?

EXIF user comment only shows first character of comment?

When I view the EXIF User Comment with XnView, I only get the first character of the commen showing.
The comments are inserted using Windows Explorer (Vista64) and/or ACDSee. The comments show up fine in both these areas, but not when viewed with XnView.

Any ideas - am I doing something wrong?
