Searching for pictures based no. of pixels on longest side

Post by camel »

Hi

I am looking for a way to remove all pictures in a category, including all sub categories, that have too few pixels on the longest side. It must dump these into a folder called "too small" or I can manually select and remove them. I.e. I want to set the dimensions of the longest side, and all pictures that don't meet this criteria are removed. The search in XNview comes close, but it searches both width and height simultaneously! I'm looking for a search by longest side feature.

I figure it can be done in XNview as it allows for resizing based on longest side, so it already has the feature of testing for it....

Also, on XNView, when I resize pictures to a fixed dimension on the longest side, how do I ensure that it doesn't upsize & stretch smaller pictures? (When you use the pixel feature where you have to display width and height - there is a click button not to upsize pictures) Looking for this feature when resizing by longest side?

Any ideas?
