Category Rating has duplicate entries

Post by PSHRutPark »

Hi,

I have a strange problem: When I apply/filter Category and Rating (in this case "5") to my folders of images. About four of the roughly 60 images I have tagged are duplicated in the "results" screen ie two tagged thumbnails for each single image.

I have checked that the images in question are not duplicated elsewhere so the double listing seems to have been erroneously generated.

Does anyone know how to get get rid of the duplicate entries? Maybe there is a clean function for the category database?

LATER EDIT: Have found a way of getting rid of the duplicate entries. First delete the "duplicated" image(s) (to Recycle bin) then Optimise the Thumbnail cache (in the Options window). Next restore the deleted image(s) and reassign the Ratings.

Thanks

PETER

And it's really the same source filename?
Pierre.

Yes, they really were. In each case, a single image was deleted and the two "5" tagged thumbnails relating to that image were permanently removed after cache optimization.

Since I now know how to solve the problem it is not an issue for me.

The anomaly may have been the result of some convoluted files operations at one stage.
