Question about resizing in XnView

Post by Guest »

Hello,
I´m looking for a software able to resize PNG´s with transparency using lanczos algorytm.
I´ve already tried several but none of them seems to be able to deal with transparency using lanczos.
Before i install Xnview, i would like to know if ís it possible to resize png´s with transparency using lanczos as the resize algorytm.

Thank you.

Thanks XnTriq, but that´s not exactly what i need to know.
I think i wasn´t clear enought. What i mean is:

I have an image with transparency in png format (24bit+8it alpha) and i want to resize it keeping the transparency intact (it stays in the same png format 24+8 bit) and using the lanczos algorytm for resize.

In other programs i have tried all loose the alpha channel after the resize procedure, and top images editors like photoshop or fireworks don´t have lanczos as an option for resize.

Oops, you're right. That's not what you where asking for.

Well, I got great news for you then: XnView is perfectly capable of doing that!

Amazing! Thank you for your reply. This is the first software i found that is able to resize 32 bit png using diferent algoritms and keeping the alpha channel :) I´ve tried several programs including comercial (paying)programs and none do that. All end with a black background.
Great work! And XnView is free!!!????
Thank you!
