For me, both CTRL+Q and CTRL+W close the active window.
Neither, exit XnView!
We do have a bug here!
AMD Ryzen 3 3300X 3.8Ghz, 16Gb DDR4, RX6600XT with Dell U2520D at 2560x1440@60Hz scaling 125%
Win11 x64 24H2, Hard Disk Sentinel Pro, MS PowerToys, Process Lasso Pro, Windhawk and Wintoys
Oh yes, it was a request between 1.91 beta. Close or Ctrl+W must close xnview if there is no more opened tab/image
• But that's not satisfactory for all users…
- For instance, we would want to close the current image, keeping the main View window open,
in order to D&D a file from another application, come back to the browser via its button or whatever else…
- Maybe an INI entry to configure that behaviour, please ?

xnview 1.92.1 closes the program with o whitout images loaded. Only ask if you want save when have any opened image, and close the program. Same that CTRL+Q
xnview 1.92.1 closes the program with o(r) whitout images loaded. …
• That's right, and doesn't match the changed behaviour that Pierre refers to. Hence, there is a really.
- Currently, the only way to keep an empty “View” window when closing the last image is to use the Win [x]lower button.
…Only ask if you want save when have any opened image, and close the program.
• That's disabled here from INI ENTRIES.
- BTW, it might not ask to save an image you didn't change at all…
Same tha(n)t CTRL+Q
• Exactly !
