Using Xnview 1.74 on Win2K SP4, I recently upgraded Nero from 5.5.10.56 to 6.6.0.3. Quicktime 6.5.2 is installed.
Xnview now crashes with 'Access Violation C0000005 in ntdll' every time I try to open or play a .mov file.
The fault is completely reproducible. I restored a previous version of my system, and XnView behaved perfectly up to the point where Nero was upgraded.
Any ideas, anyone ?

problems with nero 6.6.0.3
Every .mov file I tried to open gave the same result. They are all from my Kodak DX6490 camera.
AVI files play with no problems.
When I first came across this, there were also some crashes with 'divide by zero' error.
If you provide an e-mail address, I can send the Dr Watson log.

And if you reinstall old Nero package, you have no more the problem?leo1 wrote:Every .mov file I tried to open gave the same result. They are all from my Kodak DX6490 camera.

						Re: Problems with Nero 6.6.0.3
Yes, the problem was still there when I reloaded Nero 5.5.10.56.
However, I created a new Win2K environment today, and XnView 1.74, Nero 6.6.0.3 and Quicktime 6.5.2 all coexist happily there.
Problem resolved, and registry about 25% of its previous size . . .
Thanks for the prompt responses, Pierre.

Please keep in mind that Nero 6.6.0.3 is very buggy with Data DVD's and other stuff at the moment. You should either use Nero 6.6.0.1 or Nero 6.3.1.25. I'm still using Nero 5.5.10.56 myself but will move to v6 soon.
Update 1:
Nero 6.6.0.5 has now been released.
Update 2:
I just tried Nero 6.3.1.25 and found it to be complete junk, can't wait to reinstall Nero 5.5 again.
I also have my eye on DeepBurner Free
