Re: Inverted Display Thumbnail of Avi files
Try using the Windows registry for saving the options, see posts for more detailstck wrote:By the way, how come each time open photo or start a Xnview, it need to wait about 10 seconds delay?
- Slow starting and quitting (1.70.2 and above)
- 100% CPU usage when exiting
for details.
Re: Inverted Display Thumbnail of Avi files
Woo!! You are man... after I switch on this in tools-->option-->Install (You know , at first I still need to find where's this option item mention by others..Haha.. if I can upload the photo {I don't know why it's fail to use the and the code doesn't work...Can I use img src ?}, it would be help for others have the same problem)helmut wrote:Try using the Windows registry for saving the options, see poststck wrote:By the way, how come each time open photo or start a Xnview, it need to wait about 10 seconds delay?

The photo of setting to be modified is shown in here:
http://images.snapfish.com/342827392323 ... 8697ot1lsi
The speed of opening of Xnview.exe <1s (I do believe it's really faster than ACDSee)
Open photo with Xnview about 1~2sec (maybe coz my win2k with P2 Only

I try to turn off the antivirus software NOD32 and a resulf of test comes out that there's no obvious difference with turn off and on. So there's no interference occur.
By the way, why there's such a option for choice? When we need to turn it off?
On the other hand, is there a solution for the inverted display thumbnail of AVI files?
Thanks again~~
Re: Inverted Display Thumbnail of Avi files
Sorry, thought the location of the setting was listed in the threads. The setting is named "Use registry to save options" and can be found in "Tools > Options > Install".tck wrote:at first I still need to find where's this option item mention by other ...
The .ini files have various advantages, please have a look at the discussion in the threads listed above and continue those threads if needed.
This board does not allow uploading of images. I guess that the link to your images do not work because they don't have .jpg, .gif, or .jpg extension. As you can see above, there's a sort of notation for describing menus, which works quite well for most users.tck wrote:if I can upload the photo {I don't know why it's fail to use the and the code doesn't work...Can I use img src ?}, it would be help for others have the same problem
No idea on this one.tck wrote:On the other hand, is there a solution for the inverted display thumbnail of AVI files?
- Are you using XnView Version 1.74?

Re: Inverted Display Thumbnail of Avi files
Try to uninstall all in one codec pack (or other, many codecs in one), or divx/xvid and install ffdshow (divx and xvid included)tck wrote:On the other hand, is there a solution for the inverted display thumbnail of AVI files?
Also try a standard (or complete) version of xnview (zip file - no need to install, also freeware)
Re: Inverted Display Thumbnail of Avi files
The plug-ins which are part of the standard/complete package might have some affect, that's true (just guessing, Pierre should know), so it might be worth a try. Should be also sufficient to download the plug-ins, only.Dreamer wrote:Also try a standard (or complete) version of xnview (zip file - no need to install, also freeware)
Note: In XnView, menu "Info > Plug-Ins-Information" on can see which plug-ins are installed.

Re: Inverted Display Thumbnail of Avi files
I try download a standard version, file name is XnView-win-en.exe after install with plugin (error again) and then unstall.helmut wrote:The plug-ins in the standard/complete package might have some affect, that's true (just guessing, Pierre should know), so it might be worth a try. REinstall in different directory and without any plugin(help/Mpeg/Jpeg2000).
Error again.
I will try a Complete version later.

In case you have a slow modem connection:tck wrote:I will try a Complete version later.
Downloading and installing the Plug-In package should be adequate. But there's little hope that this fixes your problem.
Re: Inverted Display Thumbnail of Avi files
Just downloaded ffdshow and installed it (I have removed all divd encode software on my computer before installing ffdshow)Dreamer wrote:Try to uninstall all in one codec pack (or other, many codecs in one), or divx/xvid and install ffdshow (divx and xvid included)tck wrote:On the other hand, is there a solution for the inverted display thumbnail of AVI files?

Then...error again...hehe...
I wonder what's difference of exe and zip version, exe has an install interface, but zip version can run the program directly ?
Anyway, the minimum small version is enough for me to use.
