Better XCF support.

Post by tannim »

My friend and I both use The Gimp to draw. XCF is the format it uses to support all it's layers and such. I know XnView can open XCF files, but it only shows the very top layer, usually, and the display is somewhat corrupt even then, espceially scrolling around the image.

Another program I tried showed the same, but it allowed to cycle between the layer (or pages as it called them) of the picture as well as allowed transparency to work. The program was Imagine ( http://www.nyam.pe.kr/ ) Not nearly as good as XnView but just barely better at displaying XCF files.

I would love to see an option to show all pages at once with the transparency so that browsing would actually show the whole picture instead of just part of it. For those of us with a lot of XCF files, it's a pain to have to use The Gimp to browse through them all.

That'll be great to have a functional XCF browser :) Thank you for your time and effort!
