What happened to PixVue?

I just started to think about IPTC and found many links to PixVue - but the homepage is empty.

Who knows what happened? Temporaly dead? Gone forever? When? Why? ...

I've searched the web a bit. It looks as if PixVue has been abandonned in February 2007. Last and latest version is 2.01. You should still find PixVue on some download portals.
