JPEG Image Verification

Post by stormy1777 » Sun May 25, 2008 5:21 pm

was wondering if there is some plugin or a way to verify images, similar to this tool:

http://basepath.com/ImageIngester/ivinfo.php

I can't use that tool since I have win2k.

I have 1000's of images, in many folders, and would like to know if any of them are not valid in any way, then I can restore from a backup or repair them somehow.

It is a big problem to me, power outages and chkdsk on your master HD, even with UPS , still caching can damange images, and if you know then you can fix , go to backup and restore. I have 1,000's of images, and only by accident found a few that were damaged..
tool would be simple, basically go through the motion of displaying the image, but don't do it, just list any files that have 'issues' then user can look into it.

If anyone knows, much appreciate!
