XnView and burning programs

I discovered Xnview some weeks ago, and I'm really impressed by its extensive list of features and the quality of its design. Hence my question : It seems to me that the only burning program able to burn CD/DVD from Xnview is Nero, when there are some other good free programs around.
If it is right, what is the rationale behind ? If not, how to use another one, say imgBurn, Ashampoo...

Currently XnView only use NeroAPI, but inthe future i'll use a third party burn API
