Crash when opening non-supported file

Post by Guest »

I have been coming to this forum and posting question and reading other posts. Wondering when the next release might be coming? People seem to run into crashes... e.g. whenever I open a non XnView support file (eg. .avi), it crashed.

Hey Perry,

There is an active development as far as i can see and i can understand that this takes time. There is also a waz to give feedback to the beta-phase http://newsgroup.xnview.com/index.php?c=15.

Please be fair and take a look on what you wrote: "non supportet".
Sure i have also a issue with a point, but im really happy with this cool, nice software!
- its fast,
- i dont have to pay for private use,
- it has so many features,
- there is a development and
- a support-forum.
What else do you want?
100% bug-freeness is an illusion in any way.

Ciao

I have no problem, so please tell me how to reproduce a crash?
Pierre.

If XnView crashes with video files, there might be various reasons. Please search this forum with "avi crash*" for example and you will find many questions and answers on this matter. Often, the codec or an unstable installation is the cluprit.
