XnView Eye Logo Copyright?

Have a look at the program "Griffith 0.9.7.1" and tell me they haven't copied XnView's eye-style logo!

Yes, looks very similar: Eye-formed Spiral with dots at the top.

There's quite a number of logos which use the spiral:
