JPG icons not updating on Vista Desktop

Hi guys,

Icons seem to be fine for GIF, PNG, and other file types, however the icons for JPG files are not updating.

Within programs such as Firefox and Internet explorer i can see the JPG icon just fine, Windows Explorer does not show the XnView JPG icon.

Here is an example:



I have tried rebuilding the icon cache, and re-associating XnView with JPG files, however this hasn't fixed the issue.

What can i do?

Hello !

• Two ways to change the icon :

1. In Windows >> Start >> Parameters >> Config. Panel >> Tools Menu >> Folders Options >>
[File Types] tab >> Select JPG in the list >> [Advanced] button >>> "Change Icon" (or so, it's in French here).

2. If you are using Total Commander : Files Menu >> Associate with… >> Edit type >> Change Icon

I fiddled with it for a bit and managed to get it working after multiple retries.
