Just a quick tip
For me what works well is to simply highlight the files that I want to resize, while in XnView, and then just press the ctrl-U shortcut for transformations. once there I click the "Transformations" tab. and there I select "resize" and "add" it to the blank list area. I like shortcuts and this seems pretty good to me!
Note, I am always lagging a little in version updates. I am currently using v1.93.6 I plan on updating soon, and adding the shell extension, but by the time I embrace all of the new features I will be behind again! I would guess the procedure that I described would be valid for the newer versions.
