what's rotate?

what's rotate? The toolbar does one thing, the context menu does another.
depending on where you run it, the file date may or may not change.
does the toolbar one still do jpeg lossless?

I want the file date to change, otherwise my backups won't pick up changes. But nothing can make ctrl-shift-l change the file date
