Edit IPTC slow down

I suddenly have had a proplem with my computer taking up to 3 minutes editing ITPC data. is there a way to fix this issue?

3min??? Do you update XMP?

Since the last update I have had a problem editing IPTC data for several images at the same time. It takes a long time to write the data and then the program freezes briefly. I use version 0.96.5 64bits (Aug 17 2020).
