PhotoFiltre Studio allows the user to move a selection via arrows on your keyboard and I've found it really useful at times. Currently, XnView can only move a selection via mouse which makes small positioning corrections difficult!
Not sure if PhotoFiltre freware has it or not.

I agree, it would be very useful, but I'm using left/right arrows to switch images, so perhaps there should be also alternative shortcuts. There is another problem, both keys (arrows and numpad 8 4 5 6 2) move the whole image, so perhaps it should always move selection if activated - but then move image will be impossible.
For Numpad keys I have a solution, Shift+ 8 4 5 6 2 to move image and 8 4 5 6 2 to move selection, or vice versa.
For arrow keys perhaps arrows to move selection and Alt+arrows to move image (only is selection exist).
