1.96: Wrong feedback when changing EXIF property

When you try to change an EXIF property of a read-only image with XnView for Windows 1.96 on Windows XP SP3 then XnView does not inform you that the operation is not possible. Instead XnView first tries to execute the operation, that is, it asks “Do you want to save your changes” and finally just ignores the operation without giving any feedback. So you have to figure out yourself, why the operation has no effect.
