Need help to batch resize & crop (newbie)
I'm new to XnView...Trying to batch resize & crop images for my website. Images need to be reduced from much larger images AND cropped, too, to 330px x 330px. It seems to be working farily well, except when displaying as a thumbnail image on my site, the image is appearing "squished" or distorted. The settings on my website are correct. I don't think I have the settings in XnView set properly. I would appreciate any assistance in resolving this. Thanks! JM

Could you post a screenshoot of your settings? And the result?
Pierre.
Of course. I've experimented with a number of settings, but can't quite seem to get it. I hope I've posted the images correctly - if not, please let me know. Thanks for your help.

Here's how the image is turning out (looks 'fuzzy' because it's getting squished side-to-side:

Normally, a Resize transformation is sufficient to reduce both image size and file size (footprint). With Cropping you cut off parts of the image contents, batch cropping will only work well if the interesting part of the image is in a specific area.
As Pierre has pointed out, already, Resizing to 250x250 pixel and THEN cropping to 330x330 pixels does not make sense.
A good way to find out about the transformations is to apply the operations using the GUI front end. Try out the transformations that lead to a good result and then you can use these transformations in batch operation.
