nconvert -autocrop difficulty

Post by dave80538 »

I have read the existing posts and replies about autocrop but haven't gained insight yet.

I want to delete (crop) sections of the border of a .jpg file that are nearly black.

I tried the following:

nconvert -autocrop 25 10 10 10 -o out600.jpg test600.jpg

I am assuming that the tolerance 25, is in pixels, and the crop area should include all border strips that are less than 35 in brightness.

The output file is generated, but it is the same as the original.

The version text:
** NCONVERT v5.30 (c) 1991-2008 Pierre-E Gougelet (Feb 23 2009/15:02:31) **
Version for Windows NT/9x/2000/Xp/Vista (All rights reserved)

Thanks for your help in gaining insight.

Thanks,

I tried running the same command again this evening and it is giving exactly the results that I had expected. Sorry, it must have been pilot error of some type.
