Problems sending images via e-mail

Post by andrea.ippo »

Whenever I choose to send the current selection via e-mail, I get this error:

It's an Outlook Express error as you can see, but I use Mozilla Thunderbird as default email client, so why doesn't XnView start Thunderbird?
Doesn't a standard API exist to create a new email with specified attachments? (I'm thinking of MS Office, Openoffice, etc "SendTo" commands)

PS: I can't remember if I've blocked Outlook Express's execution with the HIPS software I'm using, however this is not the point.
I'm not interested in getting OE to work with XnView (though I understand it's a problem for XnView users who have OE as email client), but rather in understanding why XnView doesn't use the system default email client

I'm soooo sorry, it wasn't...
Thunderbird told me it was the default one (so I trusted it), but Openoffice gave the same error message.
Now it all runs fine

Thank you and keep it up with the excellent job
