Wrong # of bits displayed?

Post by larsen »

Hi,

I have saved an icon file with GIMP in 24bit and 32bit, but both files are shown as having 32bit in XnView. Where can I upload those files to check if that´s a bug?

:) Hello !

• Anyway, that isn't a bug, all *.ICOs are shown now as 32 BPP in the status bar,
whatever colour depth they are…
- It's a downside effect of the feature allowing to display ICO with the BG transparency.
- Oddness already reported (I did), it seems that it can't be fixed (easily).
