The special character is displayed as "?"
When I try to open a picture in a folder containing Я(e.g. KoЯn) by double-click in Windows Explorer, an error message pops up.

Problem with special character Я (inverted R)
Folders containing the special character Я (left-to-right inverted R) can not be opened or selected.
The special character is displayed as "?"
When I try to open a picture in a folder containing Я(e.g. KoЯn) by double-click in Windows Explorer, an error message pops up.

I'm sure you're right. There is a development version which shows a great many more characters.
