Menu icons are missing or broken when using XP-style menus

Here's how I've been able to repro the problem:

1. Enable XP-style menus (and restart).
2. Open an image in full viewing/editing mode.
3. Open the View menu.
4. Move the mouse over to the Image menu, then back to the View menu.
5. Repeat step 4 over and over.

When you do this, you'll notice something weird with the check icons in the View menu - sometimes they are missing entirely and sometimes the are displayed only partially. This problem does not happen with non-XP-styled menus.

I would get a screenshot and upload it, but I can't - even when the check icons are missing or incomplete on the screen, they show up correctly in a screenshot.
