I discovered Xnview to make a GIF unreadable by all browsers just by loading it and storing it back under a different name.
The GIF was extracted from word2000 a document by storing it in html-Form.
The bug is quite intricate, since reducing the size somewhat may make it readable again or not, depending on the size.
The files are in the following box.net folder: http://www.box.net/shared/y62s3u9jkt.
ATTENTION: Don't use the Preview function of box.net, it somehow manages to display the files correctly, but download the file and open it in a browser.
It might as well be a browser display bug, but my photoshop 5.5 shows the same behaviour.
