What about additional shortcuts for the 6 different layouts?
The actual shortcuts to toggle the different sections of each layout, are <Ctrl+Shift+Key> combinations.
To make it consistent I suggest <Ctrl+Shift+1> .... <Ctrl+Shift+6> for a direct choice of the layouts.

Same here. Changing layout is a really rare thing.Danny wrote:Well, i use the layout selection exactly one time. So i do not need shortcuts for it. Your decision.
With "Film strip" this might change, but I think "Film strip" is a special thing. I have minimal experience with the usage of "Film strip" layout. I have the feeling that it's unlike the other layouts and perhaps the "problem" lies here: People want to toggle between "their" layout and "Film Strip". What they have to do is choose "Film strip" and then search "their" layout in the layouts to switch back. So "Film strip" might need a special handling. Currently I find it even hard to see that there is "Film strip" and find it amonst the other layouts.
Just some thoughts...

Yes, most users do ... but not all.Dreamer wrote:I think user choose one layout and use it all the time.
As described in the initial post - it's a question of consistence.
