In other words, being able to select a line of either 1 pixel of width or 1 pixel of height. I'd find it very convenient for quickly removing artifacts consisting in rgb-swapped lines that appear after certain processes.
Thanks.

It's been technically possible for about as long as commerical bitmap editors have existed, but maybe the implementation would imply a lot of work given that XnView is not a bitmap editor and it has it's own ways of doing things.

Hello !
• Actually, the only (gratis) way I know to select a 1×1 pixel area is to use the “Pencil Selection Tool” of
GFIE…
- Pressing the SHIFT key (keep pressed) you can select a 1-pixel height line too ( + sign in the cursor).
- Then, pressing CTRL you can remove pixels at will from that selected line ( — sign in the cursor)

Thanks for the answer and sorry about the long delay
Still, I'm perfectly aware of the fact that other applications can do this, In fact I use a couple of them on a regular basis, but since XnView is my application of choice for quick and painless editing, I wanted to see it here. No big deal if it won't happen, it'd be for mere convenience anyways.
