Something I would really like to have: "auto-grabbing"

Post by bund »

I've been using XnView for years and it's my only favorite image viewer currently. What I've been expecting is very simple but is yet not done in XnView. So I finally made my mind to ask for it here. I belive it will enhance users' experience and, above all, it's very easy to be done, I think.

Currently in fullscreen mode, when the image size is larger than the screen size, you have to click your mouse button so you can "grab" the picture to move it. What I need is that you don't have to click the mouse button and you can simply view the picture by just moving your mouse, without clicking the button.

Why I ask for it is simple. I read lots of scanned comics books and manga with my pc. If I set the image size fit to the screen size, then most of words like in speech balloons will be difficult to read. Mostly the scanned comics/manga's image size are bigger than screen size so I have to click the mouse button and "grab" the picture each page. I really don't think it's necessary. If mouse can move the large-size picture without clicking, that will be really convenient to user like me. And I only want this function activable in fullscreen mode. This can be made optional.

I think it won't be hard for XnView's staff to add this in XnView. Do I have the chance to get what I wish for?
