HELP!!! Trying to Batch Process Resize.......

Hello, Im new to the program and to the forum, I have a question. I am trying to resize multiple files and rename them at the same time. I select the files I want to use go to Tools --> Batch Processing --> Put %_small for the Directory and go to Transformations --> Double-click Resize and put 125 x 125 --> Press Go and it starts to process. The problem is that only 1-3 of my files will be in a readable format PNG. The rest say filetype: file. So I have to delete the ones that arent readable and Start over again. Its turning out to be slower than just resizing and renaming manually via PS CS4....... I need to get about 23,000 more files resized and renamed in the next week for my web store to go online. What am I doing wrong?????
