Playing mp4 video files

Hi,
Very new to this so maybe its a simple reply I need. Just installed XnView and very good it is. I have video files in .MP4 format and when I preview them all I get is the sound track. WMV work fine. Befor I start changing things has anyone a simple solution.

Renaming extension to something else (.mpeg?) might be easiest. An alternative early beta version is more flexible about matching custom extensions to types.

Try installing the K-Lite Codec Pack Standard which can be downloaded from e.g. here:
