coarse rotate slider

Post by rra »

I use the "custom rotate" option a lot to correct my images.
Most of the time the correction is fine, plus- or minus a few degrees is a lot.
Unfortunately the slider to set the rotation angle is way too coarse with its value ranging from -180 to 180 degrees.
A option would be to set an coarse and a fine option, or , preferably set the slider in a logarithmic mode.

Hmm, for fine adjustment there's the two spinbuttons right of the edittext. They spin in 0.1 degree steps, I think that's pretty fine.

sure, you can use the spinbuttons,
but that takes a lot of time,
a slider could do the job much faster., that's the main purpose of a slider I think.
My proposition:

slider-control with -180, -18,0,18,180 logaritmic steps in between.,
or a fine slider -45,0,45 degrees with a seperate knob for 45 degrees increments
The spinbuttons should remain for arbitrary fine adjustments
