PDF Browse and Edit

Post by tmhanes »

I just installed the latest version XnView-win-full v197.2 100331.exe and tried to open a PDF (Portable Document Format) file and received the error message "Format of file cannot be determined". What happend to PDF format support? I used to be able to browse and edit PDF files, where did that function go?

I don't see ghostscript or anything similar to that name in Add/Remove programs list and there are no sub-directories that look like they would belong to ghostscript. Is there any way I can identify if ghostscript is present on my laptop?

Pierre:

Good call ! I recently upgraded my laptop and lost my previous ghostscript install. I have downloaded and installed the latest ghostscript V8.64 and XnView is handling PDF edit just fine. Thank you very much for the ghostscript advice.

I love your product and would find it very difficult to survive without XnView.
