Program Crash on opening of some Jedmics

The program has been crashing for me on some particular JEDMICS files (.C4) Not all, as most work just fine. I use XNView to look at hundreds of these files everyday. I can then turn around and open the same problem file in GIMP with no problems. I can then save the file as some other format, and xnview will open it fine. Could it be something in the header? XNView for Windows 1.97.4
