Hi,
The rename function, <date taken>, does not take the creation dates and time of video “.mov files” into account . Many cameras use this quicktime format for videos.
Displaying pictures/ videos by <date taken> leads to have the video files at the bottom of the list, out of the picture time context. Some camera generate a picture “.jpg” file preceding the “.mov” file. These are separated by this sort process.
The movie creation, time and date, exists within the “.mov” file.
It is can be seen with specific programs like the freeware “mediainfo”.
This information is needed for those who want to include the date and time in front of their Filenames.
Suggestion : When <date taken> option is used for “rename” or “date change” functions
Xnview to take into account the creation date included within the “.mov video files” instead of ignoring it because there is no EXIF.
Thanks in advance.
