Delay in startup without internet connection

Hi,

I have set the update check to be performed daily and have a dial-up internet connection. When I open an image by double-clicking it from Explorer, the image is shown in the "Open" viewmode and after a delay of 30 seconds it is shown in fullscreen (as it should be).

This only happens the first time a day when XnView is started. When I set the update check to never, there is no delay.

Perhaps XnView try to connect to check update?

Yes, I thought that was obvious - should have written it =)

So, perhaps you could add a check wether there is a connection available with InternetGetConnectedState()?
