I recently upgraded the Shell Extension to v2.90, and performing a 'right-click' on some icons causes a crash.
OS: Windows 7 Ultimate (32-bit)
XnView Shell Extension: v2.90
How to reproduce:
1) Install XnView Shell Extension v2.90
2) Search in the Start Menu for something (ie.. Paint)
3) Right-click on the search result (icon), and Explorer crashes (in ntdll.dll)

It crashes 30% of the time. Even right-clicking on 1 icon will crash it, and the next time it won't crash. No apparent reason.
This is the 1st version that I saw that has the 'Change Icon' menu item. Maybe there is a bug in that?
Uninstalling the Shell Extension resolves the crashing issue.
This is a CLEAN install of Win7. Only a handful of programs were installed.

Yes right. If you remove the 'File icon' in Options, no more crash....
