Sort in BatchRename (1.97.7.0)

I have recently tried 'XnView-win-de_1.97.7.0.exe' under a current WinXP. I noticed that 'sort' in 'batch rename' seems not work correctly? Whatever sort option is selected, the file sequence does not change at all.
Whenever I switch back to 'XnView-win-de_1.97.6.0.exe' everything works fine (tried two times).

Right a bug in 1.97.7

This seems to be also true when adding the first pages inside Create Multipage file. They appear unsorted.
