Hi,
what happens is that right after scanning, by pressing the 'scan' toolbar button, all other toolbar buttons disappear, and they only been redrawn when the mouse hover over them on the toolbar.
I am using Windows 7 Pro 64 bits (spanish version) and latest XnView 1.97.8 (although this happens from 'ever', not sure if since Windows 7 or before). I have tested it with a new xnview.ini file too (located on local user settings: %appdata%\xnview ) with no success.
The option 'Use flat buttons' in Options|Interface|Toolbar is checked. The alleged bug does not occurs if this option is unchecked.
Screenshot at http://img826.imageshack.us/i/xnview.png/ ('scan' button just appears itself, misplaced, and 'Adjust Bright...' and 'Removed red eye' where hovered over).
Thanks in advance.

Very strange. And even if you minimize/maximize XnView, the buttons are not redrawn??
They works?
They works?

Re: Toolbar buttons disappear after scanning
Um, yes, min/maximize do redrawn them. Also a window resize does.xnview wrote:Very strange. And even if you minimize/maximize XnView, the buttons are not redrawn??
Curious that once a min/max or resizing is done then another 'scan' do not hide the buttons never again (until XnView is restarted). I mean:
Do a scan (by pressing 'scan' button)
buttons hide
Hover over 'scan' button and do another scan
buttons hide
If, instead:
Do a scan (by pressing 'scan' button)
buttons hide
Min/maximize windows OR Resize it
all buttons redrawn
Do a scan (by pressing 'scan' button)
buttons do not hide never again
Also this does not happen if first scan is not via button press but via File|Acquire... menu
Moreover, it only happens when there is no image loaded in XnView, so the toolbar buttons has only a few buttons and not all of them. And only while using flat buttons.
Yes, they do always works. Hovering over each button cause it to be redrawn - as long as it is not a grayed out one - and can be pressed, triggering its function.xnview wrote:They works?
Maybe the problem is not related to XnView but to some windows library, however I have never seen it on any other software I have installed on this computer.
I am uploading some videos. I will post a link to them.
Thanks for your help and for XnView.

Re: Toolbar buttons disappear after scanning
Update:
In the Windows Visual Effects Pane (Advanced System Settings, Performance section, Settings...), all settings checked but the "Animate controls and elements inside windows" one: now the buttons stay and been redrawn after the initial scan !
It happens too on a fresh VM with Windows 7 Pro 64 installed and *NOT* on a Win7 Pro 32 bits. The setting "Animate controls and elements inside windows" and the architecture makes the difference.
