save PNG to JPG without alpha

Post by tomtnt »

Hi. I have got some PNGs pictures of house with sky. I created an alpha channel for sky. So PNGs contain aplha channel as well. (created by 3ds max) But i would like to save to JPG but every time, my images are croped by alha. I have tried to setup PNG reading/writing, but at both cases a sky on the pictures is black or white not blue with clouds. I see in the view a png picture properly, sky is blue. When I push the "M" key I can see the aplha channel. But if I save the PNG to JPG, my sky is black or with different setting white :(
And I would like to save to JPG with blue sky...any ideas?
I am using an ImageBadger for quick converting, but the same result :(
Thank you.

PS: woow...this doesn't wirk, whene i push in the view save to JPG, but whene I use convert in brovser, works well...stupid.

Have you considered “flattening” the pictures by reducing the color depth (Image » True Colour) before saving them as JPEG?
